GET THE LAUBIN! Last I heard, there was a 6 year waiting list for Laubin oboes... It doesn't matter if it is used; JUST GET IT!

Laubins are amazing oboes. I used to own one, could kick myself for selling it. Borrow the Laubin from your school but buy the Fox anyway. 400.00 for a Fox is a great price.

YES!! get the fox 300! that is a great price. First I would check with your band teacher to see it it is a decent oboe and then buy it. I have been playing oboe since fourth grade and now I am in seventh grade. I play oboe, bassoon, flue, and violin. I like the oboe the best, and I have found that most school oboes stink. I just bought a new one and I got a sound out of an oboe that I have never heard before.
