Is it odd if I practice for 400 or more minutes a week? People keep calling me a nerd when they see my practice card.
Hmmm... I find that to be a compliment actually. But back to the point. How long do you usually practice the oboe per week?

I wish I could practice for 400 hours a week! I usually practice for 30 minutes per day. I am a beginner and my lips get tired after more than that. Eventually, I'd love to up it to 1 hour per day. So, I say, good for you.

i think you should be practising 20 minutes a day at least. but the more you can the better it is for you and your playing.
so 400 minutes a week means ... ooooh :DD nearly an hour per day. this sounds quite good to me.
of course it depends where ye wanna get with it.
i try to play as long as i can. so sometimes it is only 20 minutes (time pressure), sometimes i play and play and play and play :D

NO. I practice an hour to 2 hours a day depending on my schedule. YOu have to if you have 4 rehearsals for 3 hours each per week.
