I would learn to make your own, as I have said in SO many posts. If you can't spare the time, then go with forrests or dunkel (http://www.forrestsmusic.com and http://www.stuart-dunkel.com/)

If you have a spending limit or are really just learning, purple or green thread:
http://www.nielsen-woodwinds.com/

You should find a good reliable reed maker whose reeds will always perform similarly to each other with each repeated shipment. Then work in reeds from other makers. You may find that you prefer some over others or you may find in time you tastes change as your embouchure develops. You will find one persons hard is another's soft!
