Ok, I just started playing Oboe around christmas. I used to be able to hit the middle staff D and low D and E and E (4th SPace), but all of a Sudden it will not play any of those notes including C#, Eb, E(high and low), D(high and low), F(High and Low) is it me or would it be one of the keys, cuz I can make it come out if I try my hardest, but it kills me to do it. Plz help if you will.

Always, always, always make sure you warm up. That will get rid of most of your problems. As for pads, get them checked at your local music shop.

I had the same problem, but it ended up being that when I was rushing putting my oboe together I hadn't lined the sections up so it was on line properly. I'm not sure if that's what's happening to yours, but that's what it was for me
