I need help with a trill from a high F (natural) to an F sharp. The notes are the F and F sharp above the staff.
It's in the Poulenc Sonata for Oboe and Piano, movement 2 "Scherzo".
Help is, as always, much appreciated.

Trill with the Left F key maybe.....
Try just with the regular F key too....
I don't know any special trills for that, sorry.

This website http://www.wfg.woodwind.org/oboe/ has the trill listed. Just scroll down to where it says "Trill Fingering Chart for Oboe" and click on the link that says "Third Octave." I believe the trill that you're looking for will be labeled E#6-F#6 or F6-Gb6. The red key is the one that you trill with.
This site is great for alternates and trills. I use it all the time.
Good Luck!

On a side note, there's a few different options for that particular trill. You just have to experiment to see which one is easiest for you, works best in between the preceding and following notes, and plays best in tune.
