Random thought: has anyone ever named their oboe? It occurred to me that people name boats, bowling balls, and stuff...does anyone ever name their instrument?

My oboe has a name.

It's name is Oboe-Wan Kenobi.

Somewhat corny, I know...

I agree with Canadian. Once I buy one, I'll name it. Cuz I would just name the one I'm renting Piece-of-Crap.

hey music girl, when i was renting a oboe i named it hobo too! (air high five)
my friends oboe is named bella, but i haven't named my one that i own yet... i need the perfect name. Any suggestions? (Its a Fassati Tiare, so French names would be good)

<Added>

That friend also names her reeds. She named one with blue string Grover. (She likes Sesame Street :D)
