Oboe question!!! please help!!!
I just got a ton kooiman etude thumb rest and i haven't got my oboe yet and i am wondering will it fit in my oboe case. here is the oboe i am getting: http://www.jupitermusic.com/jbi_instrume...

i don't have the case yet it just shows the oboe!!
if it doesn't fit can you give me some ideas that i can use BESIDES taking it off everytime i put it in the case!! Like some cases for UNDER $100!!

I have the thumb rest; it slides off before you put your oboe back in the case and my protec case has a zippered pouch on the front it goes into with the other small stuff I carry around.
I don't know of any cases that are made for oboe with thumbrest attached. Don't use the thumb rest much anymore though; I am using the Fhred which works better for me and is even easier to use.
