How fast can you play them? All i can get is to 80 bpm. (all eighth notes, two octaves).

Eight notes? I can play eight notes (2/beat) @ 150 no problem. I'll see if I can get 180 perfectly within a few days (havnt practiced much in past 2 weeks)

It'll get faster once you get the fingering patterns down. The same goes for scales, but it's not about how fast you play them it's about how well. Of course if you're dragging along at 20 clicks a minute you probably won't make a clinic you're auditioning for...Eventually I got to be able to go from Bb to high Eb at 120 in sixteenths. You'll get there.

Probably 16th notes at 60 per quarter. It jsut requires practice. For me though, its only from Bb to
F above the third Bb(I don't take lessons, and my teachers are wells tupid) So maybe thats whyXD

hey ya'll. All it takes is practice. I have muscle memory now that my band director made us play it everyday at about 100 beats per minute in triplets. FUN!!! I have been playing for 1 year . Have fun on your bassoon.
