Just a simple question: What brand of reeds does everyone use? Is there that one brand that you absolutely avoid? I prefer Meason (now). They have a gorgeous tone (provided that you get a good reed), but are not that good for getting different dynamics (I'm sure they can, I just started using them yesterday).

i just started using Meason. 2 of my reeds have been giving me nothing but trouble. One of them is decent, and my last one is a pretty good reed. i think i'm gonna stick with Meason instead of going back to La Voz (because La Voz isn't much better and Meason is cheaper). I'd like Jones reeds, but i just can't find them in the stregnth that i need.

I use Jones reeds. They have a really nice quality and sound, and need little, if any, work. They are also reasonably priced, I get mine for $10.95 a reed.

My favourite are La Voz. I've tried Jones. It sounds like I'm playing underwater.
