The recording sounds like an octave, but it cant be because it's F flat to E flat. That's a major seventh. Those don't sound too pretty anyway.

:s no it's not! I just went and counted down the ledger lines and it's Db to Db, that's why it sounds like an octave, because it is an octave.
Ask the director of the band to check on the score what you have to play. It's not unheard of for scores and the individual parts to be slightly different.
