Does anyone know any fun pieces for bassoon? I'm soo tired of playing bland studies or baroque concertos.

Have you played the Telemann sonata in F Minor? I know it's baroque, but it's absolutely beautiful. Then there's always the Hindemith and Saint-Saens sonatas, and perhaps a couple more I can't think of...

There is an arrangement of Hummelflug for bassoon. K191 even though it's known by everyone as well as Vivaldi's concerto (even though there are 40 they sound the same). Check out Victor Bruns' sonatas. Villa Lobos also wrote an incredible bassoon/flute duet. and of course cream of the crop weirdness would be Luciano Berio, Sequenza XII.

then of course there is Stravinsky Right of Spring yada yada. The Holst suite isn't too bad for the fagott either, got a lot of stuff going on there too.
hope this helped

Concert Piece For Bassoon And Strings- Burrill Phillips.

it's like, a contemporary piece, kinda syncopated.... it is so much, especially when it's memorized.
