I have an adler. So I called my 'boon Grace. Y'know. From Will & Grace. It's all I could think of!

My bassoon is called Fred. Fred the Faggot.

My clarinet has a name....we named it frosh year, so I don't remember...I learned bassoon cause my high school needed one...and I love it, I still need to name him. And my tenor doesn't have a name either.

I got my wooden bassoon for my junior year B-day...it's either a 240 or 220 fox...I can't remember, but I love it.

Its Fagott btw... But I have officially named my bassoon Beth.

Henrietta the Beast.

mostly because its a plastic school horn, and I can honk out a low Bb to outplay the whole brass section.....so she's henrietta, but she's a beast.

I named my bassoon Reginald.
I just like that name.

I called mine Otto. No reason that I know of: it just seemed right at the time. But the name has fallen into disuse and I think I need to find another. I'll post it here when I do.
I do think a bassoon should have a name. They have so much personality.

I have geeky latin names for mine.
The one I'm playing on is an obnoxiously bright fox renard I've dubbed Sarpedon. The first horn i had was a school horn who i decided to call Caecilius because i wanted to burn it-it was an awful horn. lol
