What if there was a small scale bassoon that is inexpensive that doesn't play a note but has all keys to practice fingerings when your at places where you can't necessarily just whip out a full size bassoon but still want to practice. How do you like it?? Is it stupid a good idea or is it just plain idiotic that i should just delete this post?? Give me feedback please!!
It actually is a good idea. Practicing with out the reed and work of blowing can allow you to focus on just what the fingers are doing and reinforce the "feel" of a passage. I think the problem would be cost. Keywork, even cheap is expensive, and it would have to move like your keys do, in order to feel right.
