Has anybody played Scheherezade? Any advice as to how to quickly learn a way of tongueing the nasty stuff in the fourth movement? I can double tongue on a recorder but not the bassoon!

I played Scheherzade last year in my youth orchestra and didn`t find that the 4th movement required anything special. I`d say look it over again and talk to your teacher. It`s really not tough, I`m not much of a double tonguer either. You can handle it if you can handle the rest of the piece!

I did manage it thank you! Learned double tongueing, of a fashion anyway. I did find that to be the toughest bit of the whole piece though - maybe my tongue is just particularly inactive!
