i play a student model trumpet still... im looking at new trumpets and have discovered that getzen trumpets are fairly good. smooth and responsive valve action yet it has a nice open feel that dosnt constrict the airflow and allows a nice tone while also allowing notes in the higher registers. Any hidden demons i should know about or is this trumpet fo real??

I dont know of any, they are really a great intermediate horn. Actually I do remember seeing the braces on the leadpipe to the bell break off but thats like 9 years down the road. Honestly, I wish I had one through high school but I was as fortunate. Anywho have fun!

heck i play getzen for school and for pro gigues. they are excellent for jazz. you have to be mature to play a getzen. oh and getzen has the best valves by far out of anybody once you oil them for a few days. you oil them everyday for a week and then they become amazing.

the severinsen runs usually for no more than 350$ i`ve seen them go for 250$

haha nice... i just realized sumthing tho.... i live in british columbia, canada close to vancouver... the nearest canadian getzen dealer is in edmonton.... a 3 hour flight or 16 hour drive from where i live so besides canadian ebay or some store close to the border i guess im out of luck.

YEah an extra $20 for shipping is alot cheaper than a 3 hour flights- Also- make sure it is or can be sent as a proffessional sample or gift for customs so you don`t have to pay tarrifs.

I have bought from out of country - before- Or search ebay canada

I think it is ebay.ca or something

hmm...they probably would send it to canada... now the only issue to get by is my parents and there shallow pockets lol. well actually deep pockets they never touch more like it. heh heh
