ok, found this trumpet on ebay. [not nameing price or w/e] i might buy it but it doesn`t say what key its in.

My band uses Bb trumpets. This one though, has a longer pipe leading to the bell, and ive seen that same one on a C trumpet, but i cant get a picture close enough to say for sure which one.

the serial# is E61391 and its a Bach.

i cant seem to find anything on this trumpet on the web.

can anyone help???

Thanks

sounds like a flag trumpet, with a long bell where you can hang a flag on. Used by marching bands `n stuff.

I don`t think he means flag trumpet, it would be easy to tell the difference between a flag trumpet and a Bb trumpet

I was thinking about the Bb and C trumpets all day at work today. I guess you`re right in that they are not that rare but I still don`t see many trumpet players (pro or not) use the C trumpet as their main axe.

C trumpets are mostly used for orchestral work, which is why its harder to find proffesionals who use them. Most orchestra trumpet players arent as well known as jazz players who mostly use Bb trumpets.

Thank you to all of whom replied.

But bidding ended for the trumpet, and I think one possibility is that the view of the picture that was on ebay was just at a strange angle from what i usualy see when i play, or anyone who plays it.

Sorry if i wasted any of your time!
Thanks Anyway
