i want to try to play the tuba as a second instrument to my trumpet next year....my parents say to just keep going with the trumpet but i want to learn the tuba real bad. Tell me if tuba-ing will skrew up my trumpet-ing or help it. pleeeze?

how can you say you suck if you can play a high c and be going into 7th grade next year? i could only hit a high Bb then, and by the end of 7th grade i could get a high g (or to Lilmusicians terms : a double high g)

playing the tuba shouldn`t hurt anything to your trumpet playing. i am a trumpet player, but i have covered every part in the band from piccolo-tuba, and my emboucure is fine. i have been doubling like this since 7th grade, and i am a senior this year.

i just say i suck at everything....ignore it.
