hi
i currently play the trumpet among istruments and believe myself to be quite an acomplished player however iwas considering purchasing a fluglehorn(sp?)
now i understand that the technigue, key, and pitching is the same but are themouthpieces different for example how a cornet mouthpiece is thinner./smaller as such compared to a trumept mouthpiece
anyother thigs i need to knwo what be useful

grab yourself a flugel horn. be sure to try out some flugelhorn mouthpieces too...so you can find the right fit. Other wise, it's just like playing a trumpet. Buzz and play that beautiful music. But they're more for jazz. But they also make good classical music (sergei nakariakov is a good example of that). Have fun with that flugel.
