it seems like everyone on here is in high school or younger. i'm a sophomore in high school and have been playing trumpet for almost four years, how about everyone else?
well,,, looks like i am the only easterner here... i am in secondary 2. when convert, around u guys grade 8, i think. not too sure la. playing trumpet for 2 years oredi.
Just came upon this site and joined. I guess I am the grandfather to you kids, have been playing trumpet and cornet since 1955 in many groups and am a 36 yr member of the fabulous Kalamazoo Concert Band. Glad you see you young folks are playing and interested in other's ideas. Very worthwhile to keep playing as long as possible, just not in your school years.
I started playing trumpet in 1989 in Washington State. I went in the Navy in 1997 and have taken my trumpet with me everywhere I went. Okinawa, Japan, Cuba, Perto Rico, Rota, Spain, Souda Bay Crete Greece, and the last place is Kuwait but I couldn't take my horn there. Those are all the overseas places. I've taken my horn all over the US as well. Now I make my home here in Pa. So far I have been playing for 18 years.
Ive been playing for 9 years, and I'm still going..majoring in music performance and education. I'm actually quite experienced. Someone should shoot me an email. I'm trying to get a quintet or quartet started. Preferably a quintet. It's tough to find ppl that are good and dedicated.
hey trumpetkid you should go to trumpetherald.com. they have awesome forums there, a lot of proffesionals and people with a lot of experience, your going into music in college? that is most likely what i am doing too, where do you wan to go to school?
