My benge has never played in tune. I can bend notes in tune and a lot of the times I use alternate fingerings because its just so bad. I hate doing this though becuase often times the note is so out of tune when I bend it it loses its roundness and sounds horrible. I've tried cleaning my trumpet, I gave it a bath and snaked it out thoroughly, didn't do anything. I'm just ready to get a new trumpet. I want something that plays in tune in all registers and something that is a little less restricted in the upper register. Any suggestions? Also, any ideas on what I can do now in the meantime with my Benge? Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

I have a benge as well and it is very aggrivating trying to play in tune. I'm getting a bach ... bach is one of the best brands you can get. The best advice i can give you is to pull your slide out if your playing sharp push in if its flat.

So i'm not the only one that things their Benge is a POS heh. I'm considering a strad. i have a Strad Flugelhorn and i have nothing bad to say about it. The trumpets are very inconsistent though, over the last couple years i'd say i've played 6 to 8 different Strads have really gotten a different feel from every one.

yeah i would never reccommend a benge to anyone... they are heavier and bad tone quality and cant stay in tune. I used to get compliments on my bach about how nice my tone was... now I get suggestions on how to improve it... im like its this stupid trumpet i miss my bach ... my bach is a student model and i use it when we practice on the feild ... but im gettin a nice new silver one soon i hope!
