Look, Music, is an opinion based subject, I`ve played trumpt for 10 ish years, and to me, Maynard ferguson, is #1 in the "Range+Jazz+Style+control" department, and, Louis armstrong, in the "Blues+Tone+style" Department..

It`s all opinion, there really isnt a "#1"

=)

Beautiful Solo done by Derek Watkins, he should gain lil more Chop endurance, and, his tone is near perfect, he has great contol in range, and at that, a decent range...

Sounds so perfect..

James Last- Solo Derek Watkins

You had lessons from Maynard ? That has just got to be amazing ... What`s his secret ? Swallowing Co2 cartridges ? Or is he somehow attached to an air compressor? Anyway you must have some great stories ... I think he is Brill ....

It really depends on which style you are talking about. For classical Bud Herseth.....Jazz- Carl Saunders......... Lead playing- Mike Williams.... Rock- Marvin Adams

Yea, i took lessons from him, Damn expensive, Damn..

He can do some damage to the wallet =/

-Secret?
All i know is, He plays with as much air as possible, even on a pianissimo, he forces so much air, and, Never uses pressure..

I used 1.3L of pressure when i played, he bout kicked my ass, litterally..
