I am gonna start teaching my friend how to play the trumpet. they are just beging they have toyed around a little and is a singer. they can already play a scale and maybe some more.
Does anyone have some tips as to what to start them out on exercise wise or anything. I have some ideas based on the things if first started out with but i wanted some input so that i don't send em down the wrong path. Please leave any suggestions

Hey, mate, I'm a tuba/ trombone/ trumpet player, and i think if you go to your local music store and buy like a Standard of Excellence book for trumpet, and start them off on the first page, and get them to work through it, even though you may think they can do it.
