I am looking for an extension slide to change my bach C180 inot a Bb key. I found extension slide kits, but they were to expensive. Anyone know where to buy an extension slide?

I would talk to a trusted repairman about something like that. Any slide you would get may hurt or improve your sound since all trumpets are built differently there. I hear you about the extension though, it sucks to have to transpose everything...

I don't know if you really want to do that.

You could have one made for you, but don't the extension kits have slides for the valves also? The slides on your valves are made to work with your main C slide. When you put the longer Bb slide on your trumpet the valve slides will no longer be in the proper proportion to your main tuning slide and you will not only having tuning problems but your intonation will be horrible. Trust me.

You will be much happier with a proper kit, but even more happy with a second trumpet.
I know it's more expensive, but it is really the only way to do it.
