I am looking to start a band and was needing a lead guitarist, a bassist, a drummer, and at least one vocalist. My friend and I are in the works to get a band started and we already have two piano players, a sax player and a harmonizing vocalist (the vocalist is me, I can really only sing harmony well). Hey, it's alright that your 12. I am just looking for someone that is very music savvy and from what I've heard, you definately make the cut...unless you don't live close enough to be able to practice with us. I believe that anyone can do anything they put their minds to. To say the least, I don't really care what age you are (as long as you can play, and I don't have to play teacher). Don't look down on yourself because you are 12. That shouldn't stop you from becoming the musician that you want to be. It also shouldn't stop you from doing something that you really want to do. Sure I am older than you (I'm 18), but I don't care what age other band members are. I've played in at least five bands where all the other band members were your age and I still enjoyed it. Don't let age stop determination.

My band is hopefully going to make a CD, perform, and tour around the U.S. (maybe even to MD and all of my 8 notes friends would get to come backstage)!! We are hoping to play Rock/Metal music. I have a friend who has been playing the piano for nine-and-three-quarters years who is going to play the piano with me and do some piano duets and some dueling piano. We will also take turns having a few piano solos. If my band becomes famous, I will hope to let 8 notes be the first to know!
if you came to MD that would be awesome because no one ever comes to MD. i want to start a band but i don't know anyone who could play and i don't have time.
Hey, it's not that hard to start a band...unless you don't know anyone who can play. It doesn't have to take more than two hours a week of rehersal time and one hour of practice time. Let me know what kinds of things you're looking for and I'll see if I can help guide you in the direction you want to go.

Hey, don't worry about talking a lot...we all get that way one day or another. Anyways, by "what your looking for" I mean what type of band do you want and what types of instruments do you want to be in the band. (just to clarify).
