Hey guys
Ok, I am planning to complete my Girl Scout Gold Award (the highest award you can receive as a Girl Scout, the equivilent of the Eagle Award for boy scouts) and I would like my project to involve music in some way. Do any of you have any suggestions? It has to be something that will last. I was thinking maybe like giving music lessons to kids who can't afford them or collecting musical instruments (or money to buy them) and donating them to a different school every year. What do you guys think? Any ideas at all would be very much appreciated!
Thanks!

Sounds like a great idea! Music is a wonderful gift, and it is even better when you can share it.
I have heard of people going to orphanages or similar and starting bands or giving free lessons. You would obviously have to secure a few instruments for the kids, but it probably wouldn't be too difficult.
Just an idea...

I think giving lessons would be a good thing to do....
Music lessons are so dear... You would help out some people.

Hey! I'm a Girl Scout, too!
Well, there are many steps to the Gold Award. So mabye for part of it, you can do a used instrument drive or collect money for used instruments, and then use those instruments to teach kids that can't afford them. I'll have to check the requirments... but that would be fun!
