Hi! I haven't been able to get to my computer for a while, so I haven't been posting.

Congrats, Dan. Its good to hear that you did well. And Bam-bam, we're lucky to get out of school if we get like 2 ft. of snow. Solo ensemble is in 1 week! But I think I'll do pretty good...hopefully.

Good luck! Blueeyedbassoon, just wondering; were you sad that Brett Favre retired? I thought it was sad that his last pass was an interception.

Of course I'm sad....Aaron Rodgers just can't compare. I think I'll go buy a Favre jersey while they're still cheap and wear it for all Packers games. What am I doing talking about football!? I guess when you live in WI you become obsessed with the Packers but not football as a whole...if you know what I mean. Maybe I'll even dedicate all the songs I play at solo ensemble to Brett Favre in an effort to make me less nervous.

Aaron Rodgers was going to be the first pick in the 2005 draft, but mysteriously dropped down to #21. Then Alex Smith out of the University of Utah (YAY! :D) went to #1. Rodgers should be a decent quarterback if the Packers give him time... But enough about that. When's your solo/ensemble?

<Added>

*Oops, I mean what date is your solo/ensemble. Ours was last Wednesday.*

First post of March 11th!!! O.k. sorry about that... I'm staying up insanely late to finish a band term project that is 9 pages long. I'm just finishing up and I'm bored.

I'm in choir and band. I must admit that the choir warmups ARE pretty ridiculous, but you get used to them. The best part about choir is that you get to meet chicks. (lol)

I actually prefer band to choir. I don't like choir nearly as much as band. Not by a long shot. I DO like to sing, but trombone is my true musical talent.

My solo/ensemble is this Sat. I'm in band and choir. I'm in 2 choirs one at school which is really lame...but without me, the altos would fall apart. But my choir outside of school is really fun. I definitely like band better than school choir, but I'm not sure about out of school choir. If I every have to choose between choir and band in highschool, I'd probably choose band cause I can sing whenever I want.

My choir teacher says that we're the best in the district...I guess we'll find out at district festival next week.

TromboneGurl, I SO agree that band is better than choir, but I still like choir. I have my reasons.

I'd just like to let you people know how I did at solo/ensemble today. I got a I on my bassoon solo(which I didn't deserve), a II on my vocal solo and a I on my piano solo. I was REALLY nervous. I'm kinda glad its over now. I can't wait til next year! The judges were interesting this year. The woodwind judge was very easy and gave everyone firsts, the vocal judge was really tough but he was very knowledgeable and had very good suggestions. The piano judge was good too and gave very good advice.
