They closed it? that's sad... heh, nothing's up, in fact, im quite bored. OH! we finally got our festival pieces a week or so ago, and we're finally getting the hang of them! the tenor saxes can't seem to play rhythms tho...
We are starting to work on our small group pieces in band. I'm in a woodwind trio, a percusion ensemble, and I'm also doing an oboe solo and an english horn solo.
I'm in a male choir ensemble, mixed choir ensemble, playing trombone solo, singing vocal solo, playing in a brass quintet, and doing a flute/trombone duet.
Four of these made it to the next level. Maybe five. I don't know about the flute trombone duet.
my school just ended out ensemble/solo concerts. i'm glad it's over with. one of the things i was in was an quintet (i think) with four other flutes and we could not seem to get to work. our BD said it was to give us a taste of our own medicine.
anyways, I am SOOO excited because I get a solo in one of the pieces we're playing for festival. :D (I've waited for a solo since like.... the first day of summer band:D)
ehh, it's fun at first, but when u break up their entire section hates you. (or ur entire section hates them). or at least, that's how it goes in our band.
