Hey I just got my braces off today and i am soo happy. But now I have the problem of getting used to playing my trombone without them does anyone have any tips for me to make my transition easier and faster
Just be patient. Work on your fundamentals and school music, but don't worry. It's a strange transition, and there isn't much you can do about it. Don't worry, it could be as short as a couple days or longer like a couple weeks, everyone is different. Just be patient and things will go your way!
lucky....I hate my braces, there the one thing thats holding me back from what I used to be able to do. I'm just thankful I can still play very well with them thanks to lip protectors. Without them I couldn't make 1st chair everywhere I go except all-district and all state, But i got 2ed chair district and I still have to re-audition for chairs at state-fun!
Yeah, when i got my braces off, my range improved and it was easier to get a good tone. It only took me about 2-3 weeks to get used to no braces. Like Erik said, just be patient.
you could when not playing in class buzz on your mouthpiece not only will this help you get used to new feeling but it will help you with youre enduance.
