You can't go wrong with the Remington Studies. Personally, I use the David Vining Daily Routines, with some personal modifications.
Maybe consider digging in to Brad Edwards' book "Lip Slurs"
Dig into the Arban book. How is your multiple tonguing?
Make a commitment to learn some new scales before the next school year. Learn tenor clef if you don't know it well. If you do, start tackling alto.
Work on sight reading. Borrow anything you can and just read it down. Even if it wasn't written for your instrument. Work on transposition.
Record yourself.
But I'll be honest with you. This is stuff you should do all the time, not just over the summer. For me, I have a daily routine that I do every day. The details of the routine may change, but it gets done every day. Not negotiable. Even if we have a busy day of concerts and/or rehearsals, I am usually starting my routine bright and early.
Oh, and one last thing. Don't quit playing music! Work up a solo. Apply what you are building up in technic to the music. If it's not musical, it's all for nothing.

summer? whats this summer your talking about? ohhh I get it...marching band yeah, I remember now!!! haha. I think no other orginzation goes as long as band at all in school. What do you all think? but hey, I like it-it keeps me up and about.

I know this is a subject change, but does any other high school musician know what your playing for marching band so far? its sad when were already got the music and memorized it.

i know on trombone.org or on here, one of the two, has a link to a site that helps in all sorts of great areas. If I was you, I'd ask your band director for music in different clefs that you'd want and then go to the internet and find the notes and learn clefs that way without a book.

But can the music store special order a book for you? I say they may be able to. But also deffiently look into a private tutor for you, they can help out a lot in not only learning clefs, but everything else you do.

this is a cool program to help you out and it's completely free.
Or, you can make your own flash cards, and drill yourself. There is always a way. Borrow a book from someone. Ask your parents to order the book for you and you can pay them the money. Ask the music store to order it for you. Most of them will.
Reginald Fink "Introducing the Tenor Clef" I believe Accura Music is the publisher
Brad Edwards "Introductory Studies in Tenor & Alto Clef" I believe Ensemble Music is the publisher.
Give this info to the music store (you shouldn't have to, but many music store employees don't have a clue) and they should be able to take care of the rest.
for other stuff...
www.bonezone.org has some cool downloads, including samples from the Lip Slurs book and a great daily routine.

Dude, get a teacher. This is no way to go about it.
Tenor clef, and all the moveable C clefs for that matter, all denote concert pitch. The key is to just learn to read tenor the same way you read bass. It will take practice. I can't say it enough, the Brad Edwards book is really good. You start with a few "guidepost" notes and build from there.
Once you read the note in tenor clef, there shouldn't be any "transferring". You just read it. The C clef places middle C (the one you are used to reading as one ledger line above the bass clef staff) and all the other notes fall into place in relation to that.

Well bro, if you lived anywhere near me, I'd hook you up. But since you don't (or do you?),
what have you tried?
Is there a local music store? Local university? Do you live out in the middle of nowhere? Is it the money? Have you asked your band director?
It's funny... I hear kids on these forums always lamenting about how they can't get a teacher... Where I live, you can't even give lessons away sometimes.
But seriously... try hard enough and you will find a way.
Maybe post a message on the Trombone Forum looking for a teacher in your area. It's a much bigger community on that forum and maybe you'll have better luck.

Raymond C Fussell Exercises for Ensemble Drill.

Do a google search for tenor clef and you will come up with all kind of sheets. I'm sure you can teach yourself. I taught myself bass clef using a sheet I googled up.
