1... I don't prefer either. I own and use both
2... I prefer metal mpcs with plastic rims
3... I don't prefer either. I own and use both. (and alto for that matter)

sorry, this is just a pet-peeve of mine, you do know there is a difference between a baritone and a euphonium, right?

But there is a trombone that has a slide and valves (superbone).
It was made for jazz actually, but I'd say that it'd be good for really lyrical music that also has a bunch of smears in it--I want one, haha

Trombone with an F attachment is great for people with short arms, like myself, lol! I can actually play in 7th with a F attahment!

1.It really depends on the situation.. if its lead jazz then hell yeah ill rip that attatchment off, but if playing classical or bass(which you HAVE to have trigger for) ill keep it.

2. Metal. Period.

3. If you are just learning, definitely tenor, i like to play bass bone in jazz band, i get to blow my brains out. :D

I use a horn that feels like a straight horl but also has a nice sounding trigger but otherwise F attachment.

Metal all the way unless your marching in the cold, bring on the plastic!
