Hey man, if you feel that the horn is your voice, that's great! Some great musical moments come from the horn section. You've got some new challenges coming, but man, there is nothing quite like a well played french horn. good luck!

Honestly (since my brother and best friend plays the horn) I love the horn...I used to rather play it really..but I love the trombone just a little more, but its just whatever you really really want, plus don't let your trombone skills go to the way-side. Who knows, maybe one day you could have the trombone as a secondary instrument and be just about as good with it!

Lol thanks john.Plus, guys i didnt say i was quiting trombone.I dont know which one will be my main instrument but ill definitely play both.In fact, ill be playing trombone in top band next year in my high school. There will only be 5 good trombones left which will be me,2 other freshmen,a junior, and a senior. Not very equally distributed but oh well,at least ill be in there .But i cant wait to start french horn.As soon as my director can snatch a french horn from the junior high ill try it out.And im not being a traiter,i still love trombone.Like a lot of you music is my passion and my life. But thanks for the support guys.

Thats awesome! I also was considering to learn the French Horn, I just love some of the parts they have in some of my bands music. Our band is playing Pirates of the Caribbean for our coming up music festival, and they just sound awesome! But my private instructor told me that I should play the trombone for a bit longer to get my chops exercised enough before I do that.
