On YouTube there's a trombone player by the name of zoot69 that's amazing! She figures out the themes by herself by ear, writes the out and transposes them for various instruments. She puts videos of her playing them (which are fabulous) and then in the info tab on the right hand side puts links to the sheet music on photobucket, I link to her mario bros theme is here :

look up the blindfoded pianists version for piano and play that. It works for any C instrument (trombone, bassoon, oboe, flute...)I know from personal experience.=)

Or you could, you know, just put your horn on your face and figure it out! It's not as hard or scary as it sounds, and once you get going, it becomes easy fast!
