Is is possible to play a pedal B natural on a bass or tenor bone? Because...I've run across one for the first time ever, and don't know what to do with it. Sad...but true. Does anyone know the fingering for it? Does it exist?

I need to know within the next few days before the "sit rehearsal". The first one with the cast, that is. Sorry...I guess I haven't been clear. I'm in an orchestra pit, playing trombone2/tuba. The tuba part has some low b naturals in it, so...

Possible on bass trombone, with both valves engaged and slide extended to about what would be a 6th position.

Would be playable on Bb/F tenor, but you have to lip it down (no 7th position on the F side since Trigger-6th is longer than normal 7th, thus you have to play a pedal C and lip it down).

Other than that you would need to fake it.

Easy. Just pull the tuning slide for your trigger way out. On some horns, you can't pull out far enough, but try it. Or just play it up an octave.

depending on your horn, you can also fork over a butt load of money for a Eb tuning slide...I would almost consider that a waste of money.
