I have a friend who has played clarinet since 4th grade. We`re both in 9th now and this year he decided to switch to trombone, yet he seems discouraged because he can`t really play. I`d like to help him, and he is taking lessons from the school`s old band director, but i know almost zilch about what to say to him without making it look like i pity him. I need some things i can tell him to bring up his motivation and maybe his skills that are ok for a girl to say to a guy...please help!!!
