I`m not sure what you mean by "grade 8 sight reading"...?
If you mean you`re bad at sight reading, the only thing I could suggest is just downloading a LOT of sheet music your unfamiliar with (this site is actually a pretty good place to find some), and practice just picking them up and play them, don`t look them over first, just play. I doubt if a week is enough time to master it though...
