My name is Stuart Wyatt (33), and I play 5, 6 and 7 string electric violins predominantly through live looping equipment. This allows you to record `on the fly` and loop what you have recorded, allowing you to solo over the top and/or overdub the loops. Some people call this type of performance as `realtime composition`.
I used to do this full-time from 2000-2002, and made the music available under my old site solostring.com . Unfortunately, due to a long spate of illness, I was offline for a while, during which time, I lost the domain to a spamming search engine company. Many sites still link to the old domain.
I would recommend `5-strings` and `ThursdayPiece` as an example of what I do/did. I am currently restarting the looping project, utilising software based live looping equipment.
