Mine is a cheap Cremona..... but i had the soundpost, nut, bridge adjusted(put parchment over A and E string) So it sounds as good as a hand-made one. Oh i had them adjusted by Tamayo violins(If you dont know, Amado Tamayo is a Filipino who studied violin-making in Germany. He makes quality hand-made ones in the Philippines. I plan to have a new one made... about 40,000-80,000 Php.

wow..so happy to meet a violin enthusiast here!!! i know lyric, they have one in megamall (closer to my place) i used to study in yamaha ground floor level of megamall, but quit after 6 months, cos the fee is relatively expensive..i was thinking of enrolling to Lyric, but i learned about AWIT a group of UP alumni teaching saturday music classes in 2 christian schools, they charge about P250 a session..not bad
my tone is (i think) gradually improving thanks to my teacher..who`s younger than me..! she`s studying in UP dil and yet a member of Manila Symphony Orchestra..!!
how young are you by the way, Mark?..and how much did it cost you to have alterations done in your violin?

Hmmmm.... am currently 15yrs old. My teacher says i have good and long fingers that makes me able to do decent vibratos(not bragging) Oh, it only took me fivehundred for the adjustments. Am currently on book 4 with 2nd Sevcik variations, Etudes, and on the middle of Wolfhart`s book. You? How about you?
