Hello,

I bought this violin about a year ago. It is branded "HEINZEL" on the back, and I was told it was made in Bulgaria in the mid 19th century. However, there aren't any tags inside the violin. There are a few scratches and a sloppy varnish repair but the tone is excellent. Here's a video if you'd like to see what it looks like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tU5xUWlMu7E

Any ideas on the quality/origin/price of this violin?

Thanks.
Erik

Thanks for the comments I've gotten so far. I deleted the previous video and uploaded a better one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oj5S3Tq51Fo

One thing: have you checked looking along the inside of the violin's shoulder? Mine's there, so you can't see it unless you have a flashlight and a mirror. Also, try bringing it to a repairman. He/she might have a clue.
