Good afternoon everyone. Its good to be back in here!Hope to get more new ideas, thoughts, comments or anything will do fine for me.
Well, I played for this one recital at my music school during music convocation day for others. There are something still playing in my mind..(not the pieces i played during the recital,of course!) =P. There are two things bothering me lately. It seems to be unprofessional of having "thick book" in front while performing. Is that normal for half beginner and half professional? I wouldn't say grade 5 is professional enough (in my opinion). One more thing is that what is the difference between recital, concert, orchestra or any other types of music performance in terms of dress code? It seems that "people" dress up like they want to hang out. It bothers me because my very first violin instructor taught me the 'discipline of performing' but this time, my 'latest' violin instructor didn't say anything about that. Im not saying that the latter wasn't good.Im just bit confused. Well, it doesn't have to be/sound that serious, right? But I will be grateful if someone can share their thoughts of the music we love... Happy day for everyone.(sorry for any typing error)
