i plan on starting to play viola this year. can anybody give me any pointers on how to play....i think i no how to read alto clef, but tips on that would b appreiciated also ♥

I play the viola, the easy way of learning the clef is knowing that middle c is in the middle of the stave! Open D is the note above, A is the one on top of the stave and open C is one interval underneath middle C on the treble clef... ie. one note lower transposing from treble to alto! (one octave lower too). You'll get the hang of it!

The viola is a wonderful instruments! It's so much easier to hear within an orchestra if you in the middle of things... rather than possibly toward the back of a section of violins. It's not any easier... or harder... just different. Go for it!

the best pointer...... learn the notes of the viola first before you start to play, make flashcards.
