Does watching performances by violinists inspires you or frustrates you?
As for sometimes it inspires and sometimes it doesnt. See, i dont know how much i have progressed since i started studying and at the same time when i watch videos of violinists i seem to be frustrated becuase they make it look easy and I am really having a hard time doing it. So, anyone please comment please.

I know what you mean.
If the person is better than yourself: you are frustrated that you're not as good or inspired to become that good.
For me, if I watch someone who is not very good, I feel like I want to go up to him or her and fix it all up. So I think it's less frustrating to watch someone who's really good.
But if I watch someone who is really good, than I want to go into the practice room and play like that (not that I actually would...).

i dont really watch violinist play, but i do watch guitarist who shows off their songs. sometimes the video makes you want to pick up an instrument and play the same tune.
if you happen to see a prodigy play a pretty hard song, it sometimes makes you think that there is no point of myself playing music anymore because even a 3 years old is better than i am. sometimes it can be encouraging, you might think to yourself, if he can do it, i can too...
