There are many many cheap Chinese imports at this price level. What they are like is impossible to tell from a photograph. Chances are it's fine for the price and playable.

So... i don't know. i asked for a violin for Christmas... and if i don't get one (because Christmas really isn't about getting things) I will probably go head and get this one. I am a little unsure if it is a good idea... but i want a violin SO SO SO bad... i can't wait any longer!

I own the Cecilio brand though I have the higher end model. It plays and sounds just fine for an entry level violin. I have no problems at all with mine. Thanks.
