Are there other violin concertos easy enough to be played, like the first three concertos by Seitz in Suzuki Book 4?
I'm still a rookie in the violin as I've only been playing it for about two years. Anyway, I was forced to join in a school contest this coming February next year. The problem is I can't seem to find any piece for me. I was planning to take Concerto in A Minor 1st Mov. by A. Vivaldi, but it's already in Suzuki Book 4. I'm trying to search for pieces NOT found in that book.
Wahhh!!! I don't know what to do... I can't back out anymore.
Please... If you know of some pieces that I am looking for, tell me... If you know of a site where I could download free copies, please send the link. Or, if you have a copy, please send to one of my email addresses:
watch out. for contests you sometimes have to have the original on stage with you on your stand and copies of this given to the judges. i know thats how it works for chamber music comps anyway. have you got a piano accompanist? and what grade are you about. (i haven't sat any, but my teacher thinks grade 6 (english grades like trinity))
Mozarts pieces are fun. but sometimes can be more difficult then they appear. ask your teacher. they usually ahve A LOT of music and may be able to accompany you. if you dont have a teacher - GET A TEACHER they are very helpful in preparing you for comps.
