Hey everybody! I want to play the cello but I don't want to quit the violin. Right now, I am very busy with bass guitar lessons guitar lessons and private lessons for my violin. I am trying to pursuade my mom to put me in suzuki for cello, but my mom says I should stick to violin and I keep saying I can still be in violin even if I start playing cello. Please help!I really want to play the cello!

Dont be so hasty to change instruments. Gain enough experience on one, then slowly try on a new instrument while remaining diligent to your violin. There are a lot of things you do on cello that are very different to how you play violin. One of the first things you would probably notice is how you finger the cello; on violin you use the tips of your fingers, while on cello you use your prints. If you dont know how to do that correctly playing the cello will become painful. And if you cant even finger the violin correctly dont even bother trying to learn the cello. There are many other factors that you also have to learn before even playing a scale properly. My advice to you is to stick to the violin for a while longer
