O.k., I found the site. Perhaps it is a good school. But I am looking for one that lasts longer a half year or one year. It could be anywhere in the world. Can anybody help me or say where I can get more information?

hey Julia, Christ for the Nations has an institute in Dallas that has a 2yr music program. Their website is www.cfni.org To be honest with you I haven`t heard a whole lot of their music - but I have great respect for the other work they do. Also I`m not positive they have violin instruction, though they should since it seems to be a popular instrument. Have fun!

hi all, hope that you are doing all right. In the back of my mind I want to say that I`m aware of maybe one or two more schools, however I think that for the most part you`ll find that there aren`t a lot of schools that have worship as their only primary focus. Check to see if David Ruis from the Vineyard Church has anything. I also want to say that there is a school in NY that might be worship oriented. In one of my earlier messages I stated that there is a guy named Ray Hughes that is in the process of starting a worship school in TN I believe. I know people like Rita Springer who is an awesome worship leader and travels the world, she could possible inform me of other avenues to look for.
since I have a huge collection of worship music feel free to ask me about anything especially if your looking for specific things in worship. bye for now.

I looked over the pages of the artists you`ve mentioned, Mike, but I could`nt find anything about a worship school there. I`ll keep searching.
By the way what does TN mean?
Hey Jana.
It was a surprise for me to see your post on this forum, I would love to chat with you though. How long have you been playing the violin? I started last yr so im still a beginer. What kind of music do u like to play?
Talk to you later.
May the Lord guide your steps.
Emily
Hey Julia, TN stands for Tennessee. LOV. These days with people getting lazy in spelling out words it`s hard to understand even the simplest things but I should have made it clearer. But let me get to the good news already. That which I`ve been waiting for for quite some time now and that is that this last weekend Morning Star had a Worship Conference and the main worship leader that I had been raving about before named Leonard Jones is coming out with his own CD. The kicker.....It`s all spontaneous violin worship. Him and Don Potter who plays the acoustic guitar and another great musician who`s name fails me at the moment are on this CD. I`ve heard about two or three track clips for about a total of about a minute at best. It`s gonna be good and I can`t wait to get my copy this Friday night at their next church meeting. They were pushing to get the CD`s for the Conference this last week but shipment was slower than expected. I guess for all of you guys interested in a copy definately check out Morning Star`s website periodicly this week at "morningstarministries.org" or another great worship music resource is "goldusa.com". By the way Leonard`s CD is called "Deep Waters" and it features a blue color cover with his violin in the center of the CD cover and in the background are waterfalls. Hope you all can get a copy and let me hear from you soon. Enjoy. mike
I guess I should`ve checked MS`s website before I responded the first time. Leonard`s CD is already for sale there and it`s fifteen dollars. I also described the cover wrong so just shoot me Check it out
P.S. Bruce Dailey is the other musician that I was trying to remember. PEACE

How`s everyone doin? I was going through some of my worship CD`s and forgot to realize that Jason Upton uses a lot of violin in his worship songs. I went on his website and was impressed that he has some pretty extensive clips of his music. The website: Keys of David Ministries. org... I think. If that doesn`t work just do a google search for Jason Upton.
I don`t see why not, Julia. In the past when I happen to stumble upon foreign worship related sites and they have something for sale that interests me I wonder how it would be possible for me to purchase that item since our currencies differ so at the end I never buy. Figuring that out is the question to weather or not you can buy that CD. good luck

Halo
I`ve been playing violin (worship) in pentecostal type churches for the past 3 years. I`ve been classically trained, but I soon learnt how to play a more popular style. I`ve been thinking of maybe compiling a book with some melody lines, but I feel that it might degrade the value of an actual Spirit-filled meeting. It never is the same, to improvise and create while worshipping Him is a matter of being available to God or teachable. I have to go will write again sometime later. God bless!
