the reasons why this thread is so popular is because everyone keeps dropping the actual subject (which is dans violin) and asking questions about their own violin... isnt this fun?

I have a violin with the label
Andreas Guarnerius fecit Cremonae sub titulo Sanctae Teresiae 1672. Its really worn and the strings are wierd,
not like strings you see today. How do you verify the
authenticity of such a piece.

If you can take some good quality pictures, or have some taken in (jpeg) digital format, and send them to me, I will tell you if your violin is genuine or not genuine.
