There needs to be some rock violin music---sure its not that common in rock in roll, but it needs to be. Its one of the most beautiful instruments that exists. Casting Crowns does some violin with their rock in roll, but I don`t think they have any violin sheet music out.....yet.

what`s always fun to do is to listen to your favorite rock music, then try to get the notes right on your violin, and write it down yourself. I`ve been having trouble looking for Rock sheet music too.

I do play rock with my violin, just like mentioned before, listening and playing. Now Ive been doing this for three years and I have some good quality of arrangements, but at first I felt I was stuck in the melody of some instrument of the song, and hardly ever was satisfied with what I produced. I highly recommend (I know most of you possibly have already tried) to put some rock music (or any that you like) as loud as your violin, and then play with the song what first comes to your hand. However, I wonder why musicians donīt teach some useful typical scales of rock, or some good basic tunes or what would be even better, stimulate creativity when improvising. There should be free sheets of something to play.
