I think rock songs on a viola is sort of scarry. I suggest trying them on the piano or guitar first, but have fun trying to learn them and don't give up :D

I would try 'Apocalyptica' songs. It's a cello rock band and might be easier to do since Viola and Cello have same stings!

I just listened to a few clips from the 'Apocalyptica' myspace page. Wow! What a sound!!!!! Even an old lady like me likes it!

To tell you the truth I have many Apocalyptica sheet music songs but to tell you right now they are very difficult. I have been playing for 12 years and they are no easy task. I have played through them all and I am about to record them with my cello group. I have taken the top line and am curious to how many years experience you have. E-mail me at athf.president@gmail.com and I will maybe think about sending them to you.

if you're going to sound out rock songs on your viola it can be rather difficult unless you naturally have a good ear for pitch personally I've been able to figure out how to play part of somoke on the water, part of the white stripes 7 nation army (i think thats what its called) and some christmas songs but just keep trying until you find the right notes
