Who is your favorite viola player? For that matter, what is your favorite song that was made for the viola (not transcribed from another instrument)?
I'd say Primrose is my favorite. I love his recording of Caprice no.24 (I suggest you look it up on youtube if you haven't seen it).
I can only find around two videos of violists playing music professionally, so if anyone could link me to some more, I'd be grateful.
On another note, I listened to the "Gubaidulina Viola Concerto."
It was played professionally, but it was way too contemporary in my opinion.. I didn't like it at all.
