Just wanted to introduce myself - name's Mike, in sunny Tucson AZ. Just started lessons a few weeks ago, and loving it! At 35, somehow I got it in my head recently to try a stringed instrument - loved the sound of the viola vs violin (cello seemed too big for the house with an almost 3yr old and 15 mo old running around). Playing Old McDonald now! (The 3 yr old loves it). I don't have any music lessons or other experience to speak of, so this is all new to me. My instructor scored me a viola (she's got a source on ebay she's used before and had got great instruments from in the past), so we'll see how it sounds, hopefully this Fri!
Going, very well, thanks! It's been a great release, working the other side of the brain, especially after starting work on a masters degree while working full time with a family at home! Almost through one of the Suzuki books (although we're not using it for the method, just the songs).
